Picnic at the Park

Will & I met up with some friends at Elmwood Park this morning. He's quite the socialite, and enjoys being with other kids. However, he is going through the whole separation anxiety phase, so can't say he's real excited about many people holding him other than Dave and me these days.

Many of you have been asking how he's recovering after surgery - he's doing exceptionally well, and is most definitely back to his normal self. I took him to his follow-up appointment with the surgeon yesterday, and he gave us a great report. Will wasn't real happy when he lied him down on the examination table, and he let the surgeon know! In fact, he was afraid that Will's "yelling" would scare the other kids. It seems to me we have a passionate little boy who isn't afraid to speak his mind...we'll see where that road leads ;-)

Hi Courtney! This is Abby (Spoelman) from TU. Such sweet pictures! I'm glad Will's recovering well. Where was the hernia? Ashlyn (my 3-year-old) has an umbilical hernia, but the doctors want to wait until she's 4 or so to see if it heals itself. We'll see...

Such cute pictures! How old is Will? Sounds like he and J.D. are almost exactly the same age! JD was born Aug. 6th.

What took you to Omaha? Family? Work? I just ask b/c it's kind of a random place in the middle of no-where!=) My cousin live in Lincoln and she always jokes that she doesn't know how she ended up there--but loves it!
